Artist: Jackee PughFine artist and designer, Jackee Pugh is a graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design, specializing in abstract art paintings created with alcohol ink.
The fluid nature of the ink creates a whimsical energy and movement, through the blending and layering of bold colors. The combination of simple, overlapping shapes come together to result in vibrant and playful creations. These paintings celebrate a natural curiosity and create a sense of wonder, leaving each viewer with their own different interpretation of the artwork. |
Artist: Claire Elyce WiedmanI am an artist and educator working in Columbus, OH. My artistic practice is a combination of darkroom and digital photography, heavily rooted in a childlike sense of wonder and curiosity. I earned four degrees in art history and photography, from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN and CCAD. My educational background inspires my work greatly, allowing me to draw on influences from the history of art and photography, printmaking, and even biology. Currently, I teach photography as an adjunct faculty for Columbus College of Art & Design, The Ohio State University at Newark, and Capital University.

Artist: Elaine Kohleris a stained glass mosaic artist based in Columbus. She specializes in mosaic furniture, wall art, trinket boxes, and coasters, but loves collaborating with clients on custom orders of all kinds.
Her love for mosaics is simple: they always have flaws. Given the temperamentality of the materials and the messiness of the process, imperfection is inevitable. Knowing that perfection is an impossible illusion helps ease the pressure of an overwhelming world, and gives her permission to surrender to the chaos of artistic creation. Recurring themes in her work include skeletons and other death motifs, nature, and pop culture. See more of her work @laineyofshalott on Etsy and Instagram. |
Artist: Brian BanksAs a wood turner and furniture designer, I believe that we are profoundly and unwittingly effected by our aesthetic surroundings. They tend to reflect and contribute to our inner states. So I try to create pieces that enable the individual to become immersed in the natural beauty of the materials. Focusing on home decor and furniture, I attempt to bring a more contemplative and inspired space to the refuge of our home lives.

Artist: Jenna SchmidtThe ability to produce a body of work that serves a daily purpose is something that drives me as an artist. As a potter, the words authentic, genuine and honest come to mind while I am making. Functionally is key. In order for my pots to be successful, they must work well for their intended use. This establishes a relationship with the user that grows over time. The vessels I choose to create relate to tableware forms I became familiar with growing up within my own home, that are then fired in an atmospheric kiln. When I think about the atmospheric firings I have attended, I am reminded that it is during these times when I have made relationships with people who I now consider my family. I want my work to display this same sense of community, to encourage gatherings, whether it be around a dinner table at home or around a burning wood kiln at a university. I hope to provide my users with a sense of community and coming together.
